Your wrists and hands are an extremely important part of your body. If they are injured, it can make it difficult to do things like write, type, pick things up and even drive your car.
What you really need to know about this area of your body is that it’s fairly complex.
There are 27 bones and 34 muscles in just one of your hands. In addition… the tendons and ligaments that make your fingers and wrists flex and extend run from your forearms through a small space in your wrist and out to your fingers.
Even more, at the most narrow part, these tendons are held in place by a thick band of fascia. The reason I’m telling you all of this is to show you that your wrists and hands have a LOT of moving parts.
And… in order to be free of wrist and hand pain, all of these bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia need to move properly in a coordinated fashion.
The bad news is… since you’re experiencing wrist and hand pain right now, I can tell you that this is not the case for you. Plus… other parts of your body need to move properly too.
That’s because pain in your wrists and hands can often be caused by a muscle imbalance and poor coordination in your shoulder blade.
The bottom line is… the human body is complex, as are your wrists and hands, and it’s very easy to cause aches and pains in this area of your body, even without sudden injury, just by the way you move on a daily basis. The good news is…
