Your neck and shoulders are an extremely important part of your body. If they are injured, it can make it difficult to do things like lift your arms, sit, walk and even feel comfortable sleeping on a pillow.
What you really need to know about this area of your body is that it’s fairly complex.
There are more than 30 bones and over 80 muscles in your skull, neck and shoulders. In addition… eight spinal nerves branch off from the spinal cord in the neck to form a network of nerves called the brachial plexus.

That’s because pain in your neck and shoulders can often be caused by a muscle imbalance and poor coordination in your shoulder blade or… by improper breathing into your upper chest.
The bottom line is… the human body is complex, as are your neck and shoulders, and it’s very easy to cause aches and pains in this area of your body, even without sudden injury, just by the way you move on a daily basis. The good news is…
